インフルエンザのマスク騒動のとき、外国のメディアは「パラノイア（偏執狂）」と表現していました。

マスクにキーーッとなる割には、コンドームを使えてない（感染症にもなるし、何があってもおかしくない妊娠を予定外でするなんて怖い）。
効果のない（使っても使わなくても結果はかわらない）抗 菌グッズを買うのに、生魚、生肉、生卵を食べ、予防接種も終わっていない0－1歳児を東●ディズニーランドやデパートなどに連れ歩くリスクはあま り重視されていない。
ほぼすべての「がん」のリスクにつながる喫煙には寛容的。

これを海外の社会学者や人類学者は面白がり、感染症の専門家は苦笑しています。
