カフェインが「効く」仕組みを解説。脳の中に住むアデノシンは特定のレセプター（受容体）としか付き合わないのですが、このアデノシンとアデノシンレセプターがくっつくと人間は眠くなります。


しかしそこへカフェインが現れると、「あんなつまんないやつのこと忘れろよ」とそそのかされたレセプターは「あいつのことなんかもともと好きじゃなかったし」と言ってアデノシンを見捨てカフェインとくっつき、アデノシンは独りぼっちに……。


これに気付いた下垂体は「非常事態だ！」と勘違いし、副腎髄質に「アドレナリン出せ、どんどん出せ」と指令を出します。ついでにドーパミン濃度も上がるようです。


その結果訪れるのが「カフェイン・ハイ」というわけ。
